Today I am thinking back on a day in my youth that I want to tell you about. It was just before 4 am on June 6, 1969. An unforgettable event took place in Marysville, Washington when my wife and I were living there while I attended college. A Great Northern freight train sped thru the town without slowing down from a speed of 63 miles per hour. PASSOVER (Friday) arrived! After interrogations, mockery, extremely cruel, brutal beatings and torture, the time of the crucifixion of Jesus The Messiah took place, at around 9:00 in the morning. As Jesus hung on the cross, bearing your sins, mine and the sins of all humanity, complete darkness covered the entire earth for three hours in mid-day. This pictures for us the darkness that sin and rebellion against God brings into this world. The Bible is clear, "If we say we
