NEARER THE TOP OF THE HOUR
This world we live in is riddled with chaos, turmoil, and expressions of genuine evil. It is a very dangerous place; people grapple with fear every day. Many feel that there is no safe place, no where to feel secure. Even here in the United States, many of us sense there is no peace, no safety. We see major political, social, economic and religious division, fightings within and without, hatred and evil manifesting everywhere. This past Thursday, September 10th was the first anniversary of the murder of Charlie Kirk as he spoke on the campus of a University in Utah. The following day, Friday, 9/11 marked the quarter of a century observance of the tragic destruction of the World Trade Center, the crash into the Pentegon and in a field in Shanksville, PA. Four large jetliners were commandeered by terrorists who were responsible for around 3,000 people being killed. A few days ago, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn on a flight taking him home after a tour of promoting his new book, was violently attacked by a man sitting beside him in the plane. You may have read about the out of control attacker who was subdued and strapped to his seat with duck tape until the plane took an emergency landing in Baltimore and law enforcement officers took him into custody. This is the world and the nation we live in. And yet, there are so many of the populace that are "in love" with this world and the culture of it. John, the Apostle was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write, "Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of God the Father is not in him" (I John 2:15). Aren't you thankful that true followers of Jesus have this promise of the Word of God. . . "And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever (has eternal life being with God forever)? (I John 2:17)
We are nearer to THE TOP OF THE HOUR than ever before! When speaking of the Top of the HOUR, I am referring to the end of human history as we know it! Some refer to it as the Hour of Midnight, or the Last Hour, etc. Again, the Apostle John wrote, ". . .it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour" (I John 2:18). The Bible tells us Jesus will return to earth and gives specific signs of His return. We are seeing these signs manifesting all around us, so it is extremely important for us to know the Bible. It is not enough to attend church, or listen to others expound the Bible. We must be in God's Word ourselves and know what it says!
I want to return to day 9/11 to make the following statement. I think that something very significant happened that day in the heavens that set in motion a major thrust towards both the return of the Lord Jesus and the events that will bring in the final destruction of this present heaven and earth as promised in the Bible. The Apostle Peter was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write this message, "But the day of the Lord will come like a thief (quickly and unexpected by many), and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed" (II Peter 3:10). This truth begs the questions, Are you preparing adequately and spiritually for the Day of the Lord? Are you ready for THE TOP OF THE HOUR? Again, Peter said, ". . .by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly" (II Peter 3:7).
We live in somewhat a paradoxical time right now. In our country we see so much evil going on, while at the same time we have a president who regularly talks about God and His will. He has often referred to the fact that God spared his life after the assasination attempts for a definite purpose, but our media and academia are greatly troubled to hear him talk of God. A large number of cabinet members and congressional officials publicly identify as people of Christian faith and practice declaring their personal faith and belief in Jesus Christ and their dependence on Him to guide their lives and leadership, while at the same time society in general is falling farther away from faith in Christ. How grateful we need to be for these governmental leaders who may be used of God to give America one more opportunity to repent of sin and turn to God! This spiritual revival is the only hope for America! Without this spiritual awakening, America will face divine judgment!
I have often said that the Nation of Israel is the centerpiece of God's prophetic timetable. If you truly want to know about the TOP OF THE HOUR, keep your attention on the Nation of Israel. This is what the Prophet Joel said, "For behold, in those days, when I (God speaking) restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem (Israel), I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of My people and My heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up My land, and have cast lots for My people, and have traded a boy for a prostitute, and have sold a girl for wine and have drunk it. You have sold the people of Israel to the Greeks (Gentiles) in order to remove them far from their own border. Behold, I will stir them up from the place to which you have sold them, and I will return your payment on your own head" (Joel 3:1-7 - read the rest of Chapter 3).
The Top Of The Hour certainly could include Ezekiel's War described in his prophecy in the 38th and 39th Chapters. In that passage, the Lord revealed a several nation coalition that will assemble in the Last Days against Israel. The names and places that Ezekiel describes are foreign to us today, but a closer look at Scripture and history helps us determine what modern nations will gather for battle against Israel. Biblical prophets considered Israel to be the center of the world. Whenever we find compass points or geographical directions in biblical prophecy, they are given in relation to the position of Israel. The Prophets Ezekiel and Daniel both describe Israel's End Times aggressor as descending from "the north". Daniel used the phrase "king of the North" to identify the commander of the alliance (Daniel 11:5-35). Ezekiel's prophecy lends support to Daniel's, indicating the invading armies will arrive in Israel "from the far north" (Ezekiel 38:6 and 15). I believe Russia is the only nation that fulfills this alliance commander role (note: Ezekiel 38:1-2 & 7). The modern-day nations' alliance is made up of:
1) MAGOG: The "stan" countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikstan, and perhaps Afghanistan or Pakistan. Today, these nations are predominantly Muslim.
2) ROSH: Modern-day Russia
3) MESHECH & TUBAL: Modern-day Turkey
4) PERSIA: changed its name to Iran in 1935
5) ETHIOPIA: Modern-day Sudan & Ethiopia; founded by Cush
6) LIBYA: The same as modern-day Libya, founded by Put
7) GOMER: Probably modern-day Germany
8) TOGARMAH: Probably the territories of Turkey
Ezekiel's War could possibly take place in the next few years. Very recent news has revealed that Turkey has invited Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to sign the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement. They each signed on August 7, 2026. Iran has also been invited to join but so far it has not, though it is expected to sign on.
When war does expand in the Middle East, the combined nation attack on Israel is inevitable. That is the direct Word of God Himself; He declared it would happen. But make no mistake, God will cause Israel to be completely victorious! The world has openly persecuted and attacked Israel repeatedly without any fear of God, but be assured today that all that is happening there and everywhere on planet earth is orchestrated by God for HE IS IN CONTROL! GOD IS SOVEREIGN! GOD WILL USHER IN THE TOP OF THE HOUR WHEN HE IS READY! The question is: Are You Ready?
